Crittercam

Check out how scientists learn about the secret lives of marine animals using the state-of-the-art video camcorder/tracking system known as Crittercam! Invented by Greg Marshall—a marine biologist who works in the Natural History Unit at National Geographic Television, this small camera system is temporarily fitted to an animal’s back and helps NMFS scientists get the inside story on marine animals’ deep sea secrets. Come join the fun and get the fly-on-the-wall perspective. From turtles to sharks, seals, and sperm whales, they’re all part of the show!

Study Fish and Wear Them Too

Learn about the anatomy and life history of fish and then wear your favorite fish home on your favorite shirt. Fisheries biologists will talk about some of the fish that live in coastal waters around the country and why they look the way they do and then help you make a fish prints on t-shirts.
