Whales, Snail and Fish Tales

Fish and Fishers

In the Fish and Fishers activity, kids will play the roles of fish, predators, pollution, fisherfolk, biologists, and managers in a lively skit demonstrating how fish survive or don’t survive in the ocean. We will provide colorful props and costumes for the participants, introduce the game and narrate what happens. Periodically we will stop the action, and lead a discussion that will give the kids a good sense of how fish live in the ocean, and the delicate balance between ocean ecology and fishing. At the end of the program, the kids will receive a certificate as “Junior Fisheries Managers”.
