Welcome activities at the NOAA Science Center and Auditorium should be completed by 10:00 A.M. Students participating in the Whales, Snails and Fish Tales (Fish and Fishers) program will be picked up at the Science Center at that time.  Look for the program leaders, who will be holding signs with fish on them.  Kids registered for this program should have lightblue/skyblue on their badges.

10:00 - SSMC3, Room 13836. Welcome and introduction to NOAA Fisheries and the skit.

10:30 - Group members will be guided into the roles of fish, fishermen, predators, scientists, pollution and "spring" using props provided. Program leaders will lead a discussion about fish, ecology, pollution, predation, and even fisheries management that includes active role playing.

11:45 - Wrap up of the role playing, and a bit of summary discussion. Participants will receive a certificate as Junior Fisheries Managers.

12:00 - Parents, please pick your children at this time. Lunch is on-your-own from 12:00 - 1:30. From 1:30 to 3:00, there is an optional informal program at the Science Center.
