Coastal salt marshes have daily tidal flow that occurs and continuously floods its grasses. It is an important process in delivering sediments, nutrients and water supply to the marsh. Salt marshes, and the estuaries that surround them, are ideal habitat for juvenile commercial and recreational fish.
