Shoreline Access and Marine Managed Areas of Oahu

The many Marine Managed Areas (MMAs) surrounding Oahu, Hawaii can imply a lack of shoreline open to fishing.  The reality is that most of these MMAs are small in size and usually prohibit only one type of fishing activity.  The amount of areas open to fishing is better understood when viewed spatially with a GIS.
