This table is a general summary of the relative impact (H = high,
M = medium, L =low) of natural and human-related threats to United
States and international coral reefs by region. Rankings were
provided by scientists, managers, and representatives of the United
States Coral Reef Task Force for use in this document. The actual
impacts of each threat will vary within and between regions depending
on conditions, location, and other factors.
