Western Pacific Fishery Management Council

The Western Pacific Fishery Management Council (WPFMC) is responsible for the creation of management plans for fishery resources (FMPs) in Federal waters off the coasts of American Samoa, Guam, Hawaii, the Northern Mariana Islands and other US Pacific islands.

The following Fishery Management Plans are under WPFMC jurisdiction:

• Western Pacific crustaceans (1999)
• Western Pacific precious corals (1999)
• Bottomfish and seamount groundfish (1999)
• Western Pacific pelagics (1999)
• Coral Reef Ecosystems (2002)
