About the Lower Columbia River Estuary Partnership
The Lower Columbia River Estuary Partnership works to
protect and restore the nationally significant lower
Columbia
River estuary through on-the-ground habitat restoration
activities, and education and stewardship programs,
and
improved collaboration among jurisdictions and stakeholders.
The Estuary Partnership has developed a Comprehensive
Conservation and Management Plan, which calls for restoration
of 16,000 acres of habitat, including 3,000 acres of
estuarine
habitat, by 2010.
About the NOAA Partnership
The NOAA Restoration Center awarded a grant to the Lower Columbia River Estuary Partnership to support activities to restore fisheries habitat in the Lower Columbia River and Tillamook estuaries. This will be the fourth year of the partnership between the Estuary Partnership and the Restoration Center to select and fund habitat restoration projects that benefit living marine resources in the estuaries. The funds will support local, hands-on habitat restoration projects in the lower Columbia River and Tillamook Bay.
Request For Proposals
The Lower
Columbia River Estuary Partnership requests proposals
from organizations to support local on-the-ground habitat
restoration projects in the lower Columbia River and
Tillamook Bay estuaries. Projects funded will restore
habitat for living marine resources and offer education
and social benefits for people and their communities.
