| NOAA’S Habitat Restoration Program Lauches Web Site (April 21, 2004) The NOAA Restoration Portal Web site has launched (http://restoration.noaa.gov/). This site provides centralized access to information about NOAA restoration programs, projects, and activities through a single point-of-entry. It serves as a gateway to more detailed NOAA restoration publications, Web sites, audiovisual materials, and case studies. The site is organized according to four thematic areas: Collaborating with Communities, Restoring Injured Habitats and Natural Resources, Advancing Restoration Science, and the Estuary Restoration Act. It utilizes new technology to access the NOAA Library Catalog database to dynamically list and link to a variety of NOAA restoration resources. This effort was lead by NOS Special Projects partnering with the NOAA Restoration Center, the NOAA Central Library, and the NOS Office of Response and Restoration.
