NOAA Fisheries and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service held a joint workshop in June 2014 that brought together experts in the study of chambered nautiluses to discuss recent and historical biological and trade data. The workshop was intended to inform the U.S. Government about the status and biology of chambered nautilus populations, their demand in international trade, and what impact such trade may have on wild populations.
