ABSTRACT
Four recruitment
enhancement structures and treatments, vertical wooden
laths, plastic fencing, pine boughs, and raking of the
substrate, were tested against controls to determine their
comparative effectiveness in increasing setlement of the
soft-shell clam, Mya arenaria. The test
was conducted at three tidal heights at five separate
sites within a nearly fully draining tidal basin in Biddeford
Pool.
