ABSTRACT
To develop
and refine the Reporter Gene System (RGS) for use in rapid
screening of seafood products for the presence of toxic,
carcinogenic or mutagenic contaminants; to transfer to
government laboratories; and to provide guidance for the
potential transfer to government laboratories. Use of
this approach on field-collected or shipped samples will
test the ability of the method to screen actual samples
and compare the responses of the RGS to chemical analyses.
