NOAA Fisheries Service Stewardship & Sustainability Awards
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has established the
Stewardship & Sustainability Awards to recognize outstanding performance, achievements and leadership by industries, organizations and individuals that promote best stewardship practices for the sustainable use of living marine resources.
Administered by NOAA Fisheries Service, the Stewardship & Sustainability Awards reflect the values and principles of NOAA Fisheries Service and its mission to ensure sustainable management of living marine resources for the benefit of the nation.
Nominations were submitted by a broad range of marine fisheries stakeholders including industry, environmental or trade organizations, individuals and government agencies involved in the use, conservation, science and management of living marine resources. Nominees were considered for the following awards:
- Special Recognition Award
- Stewardship and Sustainability Award
- Conservation Partnership Award
- Science, Research and Technology Award
- Coastal Habitat Restoration Award
- Public Education, Community Service & Media Award
