National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS)
or "NOAA Fisheries" is a part of the
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA). NMFS administers NOAA's programs
to conserve, protect and manage living
marine resources. The Enforcement branch
of NOAA Fisheries (NOAA Enforcement)
is responsible for enforcing all laws
under the authority of NMFS and NOAA,
including the Endangered Species Act.
