Southeast Regional Office: Developed amendments with Fishery Management Councils for Electronic Dealer Reporting in the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic and for Electronic Headboat Reporting in the Gulf of Mexico the South Atlantic. The proposed rule packages are under review.
Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC): Requested dealers report electronically as of January 1, 2012, through their state reporting system. The data is then transmitted through the Standard Atlantic Fisheries Information and then to the SEFSC. Requested headboats report electronically as of January 1, 2013, through the Southeast Headboat Survey, which can be accessed by computer, tablet, or smart phone.
