Albany, NY

Cooperative Agreement signed: April 20, 1992
Amended: April 7, 2015

New York's program addresses the following listed species:

* Green sea turtles in U.S. waters are listed as threatened except for the Florida breeding population, which is listed as endangered. Due to the inability to distinguish between the populations away from the nesting beaches, green sea turtles are considered endangered wherever they occur in U.S. waters.

Note: To be eligible for funding through the Species Recovery Grants program, species listed under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) must be covered by the State's section 6 agreement. Proposed and candidate species that occur in the State do not need to be listed on the agreement to be eligible for funding.
