Prescott Grant Semi-Annual and Final Reporting Requirements

Note: These requirements are only for program reports and do not pertain to financial reporting requirements. For more information on financial reporting please visit the NOAA Grants Budget Guidelines page.

Under the Prescott Grant Program, a semi-annual report and a final report are required from all recipients. Progress reports are due every 6 months. The final report is due 90 days after the end date of the award.

Semi-Annual Reports
Semi-Annual Reports must include the following information:

  1. Grant number,
  2. Federal, match, and total amount of the grant,
  3. Project title,
  4. Grantee (named on award agreement),
  5. Award period,
  6. Dates covered by the report, and
  7. Summary of progress and expenditures to date, including (but not limited to):
    Descriptions of tasks scheduled for period and accomplished during period and explanation of special problems and differences between scheduled and accomplished work, etc.

Final Report
The Final Report must include the following information:

  1. Project title,
  2. Author,
  3. Organization (grantee named on award agreement),
  4. Grant number,
  5. Date,
  6. Abstract of the final report,
  7. Executive summary,
  8. Project objective(s) and goal(s),
  9. Detailed descriptions of project work plans and work that was completed, including a detailed summary of total expenditures by category and date,
  10. Identification of individuals and/or organizations that performed the work and collaborated with the grantee,
  11. Details of actual project accomplishments and/or findings,
  12. List of all biological samples collected and disposition of samples (if applicable),
  13. Identification and discussion of significant problems or biases that may have resulted in less than satisfactory results,
  14. Description of need or any plans for additional work on this project,
  15. Description and analysis of the extent to which the project goal(s) and objective(s) were or were not met,
  16. Any explanation of changes to the goal(s) and objective(s), and
  17. Explanation of how the project results have been or will be disseminated.

Transmittal of Semi-Annual and Final Summary Reports
Grantees must submit their semi-annual and final summary reports via the NOAA Grants Online system. Please note that the authorized representative will need to approve the report submitted by the PI and forward it on to NOAA before it can be reviewed. Costs associated with preparing and transmitting semi-annual and final summary reports in an electronic format are appropriately funded from the grant award during the project period.

Requests for exemption from the requirement for electronic submission, or for use of a different format than those specified above, must be submitted for consideration and approval by NOAA Fisheries no later than 120 days prior to the due date of the final report.
