| Overview and scope of task and sub-tasks: |
| Completed | A. Over 92 BRD designs have been tested. Several BRDs have proven effective in |
| meeting target bycatch reduction criteria established in respective shrimp FMP |
| amendments for Gulf and South Atlantic. RIRs for these amendments address |
| cost/benefit aspects of BRDs. Some analysis of ecological impacts of bycatch reduction |
| has been completed. Testing on alternative designs continues. |
