On December 10, 2009, NOAA released a draft policy on the use of catch share programs in fishery management plans. The draft policy was open for public comment until April 10, 2010. During this time, NOAA leadership participated in several regional meetings and venues to present and discuss the draft policy. Below you can find summaries and transcripts from stakeholder sessions, Council meetings and public venues (updated as available).

Principles for a new NOAA policy on catch shares that ensures that catch shares are fully considered when councils take up fishery management plan amendments. |
