Commercial Landings of Bigeye, Albacore, Yellowfin, and Skipjack Tuna from January 1 to May 31, 2017

Below are the preliminary landings estimates for the Atlantic bigeye, northern albacore, yellowfin, and skipjack (BAYS) tunas commercial fisheries. These preliminary estimates are based on dealer reports and other information received from January 1 through May 31, 2017, and includes landings for the Atlantic including the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean. Also, these estimates are subject to late reporting and do not include discards. Totals are reported in metric tons (mt) and pounds (lb) whole weight (ww); 1 mt is equal to 2,204.6 lb.
