Recreational Fisheries Initiative  
 
Saltwater recreational fishing is an integral part of American coastal life and communities. From Maine to Guam, striped bass to ulua, recreational fishing is both a cultural cornerstone and an important economic driver in the United States.

In 2011, more than 11 million saltwater anglers took over 70 million fishing trips generating $56 billion in sales impacts, $29 billion in value-added impacts, $18 billion in income impacts, and supporting 364,000 U.S. jobs.
