Chemical Analytical Services

The Chemical Services Group performs analytical chemical services and/or obtains such services from specialized fishery products testing laboratories as required to support the NSIL's mission. The Group conducts the following analytical tests on imported and domestic fishery products.

• Methyl Mercury
• Species Identification
• Heavy Metals
• Bisulfites
• Histamines
• Moisture

These various analytical tests are performed on samples submitted by clients or stakeholders in the seafood industry on a fee-for-service basis.
