208. Study of contribution of bycatch to charitable organizations.

Summary:
The Secretary is to submit to Congress by October 11,
1997, a report on a study of the contribution of bycatch to
charitable organizations by commercial fishermen -- how much is
contributed, how the fishermen are benefited, and the impact on
fisheries of the availability of those benefits. (Possible
translation: Does the availability of a charitable deduction
induce fishermen to catch fish they can't sell?)
