Just
about anything that will stay afloat can be called a fishing boat
as long as there is a fisher aboard with a rod and reel or a hand
line. Fish have been caught from rafts, canoes, skiffs, cabin cruisers,
and deluxe multi-million dollar, air conditioned, big game rigs
that sleep eight in luxurious comfort. For many sport fishermen,
a day on the water means a few good meals or filling the smoker
and the freezer, but many now practice catch-and-release to help
conserve stocks.
