Sharks are among the ocean’s top predators and vital to the natural balance of marine ecosystems. On Thursday, August 14, NOAA's Tobey Curtis hosted a #SharkChat with us to answer your questions. Click here to read a recap of the chat. 

Tobey Curtis is the lead author of a new study on white sharks. He is a shark scientist with NOAA's Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office. Tobey has been studying sharks and rays for over 15 years, conducting research on ecology, behavior, and fisheries for a variety of species.  He is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the School for Marine Science and Technology (SMAST) at the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth.
