The Southeast Regional Office is experiencing technical difficulties with the phone lines.  We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience as we work through this. 

We are still here to help!  If you need assistance with SEFHIER, Permits, the IFQ program, ESA consultations, VMS, or fishing seasons and closures please follow the information below.

  • SEFHIER: please e-mail ser.electronicreporting@noaa.gov
  • Permits: please e-mail sero.temporary.permits@noaa.gov, or call 727-201-2354, Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Eastern time, excluding federal holidays.
  • IFQ customer service: please e-mail NMFS.SER.CatchShare@noaa.gov, call 727-460-2475, or call 727-215-1159 Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Eastern time. 
    • IFQ Pre-landing notifications:  Vessels can make 3-hour notifications through their VMS unit, by logging into their Shareholder Account (IFQ only), or calling the pre-landing customer service line at 321-676-9613, available 24 hours a day. 
    • Reef Fish vessels can make their trip declarations through their VMS unit or by calling 888-219-9228 and selecting option #5, available 24 hours a day. 
  • ESA consultations: please e-mail nmfs.ser.esa.consultations@noaa.gov
  • VMS: please email nmfs.ole.se@noaa.gov, or call 727-314-2862.
  • Fishing seasons and closures: please e-mail sero.temporary.sfd@noaa.gov.

Permits Mailbox: The Permits Office in St. Petersburg, Florida, now has a Permits mailbox in the front lobby (263 13th Ave. South, St. Petersburg, FL 33701).  You can now drop off original permits for permit transfers.  Envelopes with information labels will be provided so that your documents can be attached to the correct application.  The mailbox will be checked daily.  For more information contact the Permits Office at (727) 201-2354 or please e-mail sero.temporary.permits@noaa.gov.  The email option is the preferred communication method and does allow for a faster response.
