Economic Analysis of Critical Habitat Designation for the Georgia Basin/Puget Sound Distinct Population Segments of Yelloweye Rockfish, Canary Rockfish, and Bocaccio

The purpose of this report is to identify and analyze the potential economic impacts associated with the designation of critical habitat for the Puget Sound/Georgia Basin Distinct Population Segments of yelloweye rockfish, canary rockfish, and bocaccio under the U.S. Endangered Species Act.

This report is intended to assess potential economic impacts of designating each area considered for designation as critical habitat for listed rockfishes. A separate Biological Report summarizes the best available information on yelloweye rockfish, canary rockfish, and bocaccio life history, distribution, and habitat use relevant to critical habitat designation. This analysis examines the state of the world with and without the designation of critical habitat for rockfish.
